Bitcoin Falls Below $27,000 Following Fed Decision; Toncoin Becomes Top Loser
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) traded lower, with the cryptocurrency prices trading below the $27,000 level on Thursday.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also moved lower, trading above the key $1,600 mark this morning.
The U.S. Federal Reserve maintained the federal funds rate within the 5.25% to 5.5% range at its September meeting.
Immutable (CRYPTO: IMX) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Toncoin (CRYPTO: TON) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.06 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 1.4%. BTC was trading lower by 1.3% at $26,750 while ETH fell by around 2.2% to $1,594 on Thursday.
