Bitcoin Rises Following Jobless Claims Report; Trust Wallet Token Emerges As Top Gainer
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) moved higher, but the cryptocurrency prices remained below the $28,000 level on Thursday.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), meanwhile, edged higher, trading above the key $1,600 mark this morning.
U.S. initial jobless claims rose by 2,000 to 207,000 in the week ending Sept. 30, versus market estimates of 210,000.
Trust Wallet Token (CRYPTO: TWT) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Gala (CRYPTO: GALA) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.09 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 0.4%. BTC was trading higher by 1.4% at $27,929 while ETH rose by around 0.1% to $1,643 on Thursday.
