Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also recorded gains, approaching the key $2,500 mark this morning.

THORChain (CRYPTO: RUNE) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Jupiter (CRYPTO: JUP) turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.77 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 3.5%. BTC was trading higher by 5.3% at $47,136 while ETH rose by around 2.6% to $2,483 on Friday.
