Bored Ape-Parent’s Next Generation Of NFTs Will Be Powered By Bitcoin Blockchain
Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) creator Yuga Labs said on Monday that it is creating an NFT collection that will be minted on the Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) based Ordinals protocol.
What Happened: Yuga Labs in a tweet said that the collection is called ‘TwelveFold’. A limited edition collection of 300 generative pieces, inscribed on satoshis (smallest unit of BTC) on the Bitcoin blockchain.

The collection will feature generative art NFTs placed on a 12×12 grid, which serves as “a visual allegory for the cartography of data on the Bitcoin blockchain.” It will include 3D elements as well as hand-drawn features, Yuga Labs said.

Yuga Labs said that this new collection does not extend utility or any affiliation to its current Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) based collections.
"We understand that all of these choices may come as a surprise. But, at the end of the day, sometimes you just have to break the mold and f**k doing expected thing," said Greg Solano, co-founder of Yuga Labs, in a blog post.
