Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also recorded gains, moving above the key $1,600 mark on Thursday.

eCash (CRYPTO: XEC) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while ImmutableX (CRYPTO: IMX) turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.05 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 1.9%. BTC was trading higher by 2.1% at $23,121, while ETH rose by around 3.4% to $1,612 on Thursday.
