Andreessen Horowitz’s web3 investment arm, a16z Crypto on Tuesday announced the release of a new Layer-2 rollup client called Magi. 

What Happened: The announcement comes after a day of cryptic tweets featuring images of orange balls.

a16z Crypto had teased a launch on Twitter with a picture of an orange ball and the words “coming soon.”

The social media platform was abuzz with speculation, with some likening the mystery to similar tactics employed by Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) ahead of its own Layer 2 launch in February.
