Chris O’Brien, a partner at law firm Venable LLP, hosted a discussion at Benzinga’s Future of Crypto event about NFTs beyond art. NFTs have moved beyond JPEGs and are now in what O’Brien terms the second phase of NFT expansion.

Dynamic NFTs are one area of expansion, where the NFT responds and changes to real-time data or news. The NFT space is also witnessing free mints and unlimited, open mints. The panel experts and O’Brien attested to the fact that the NFT ecosystem is always evolving and adapting.
