Web3 Token Surpasses Bitcoin, Ethereum In Weekly Gains With 33% Surge On Microsoft Tie-Up

The native token of Ankr Protocol, ANKR (CRYPTO: ANKR), saw a 33% surge in the last seven days, outperforming gains clocked by two of the biggest cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH).

What Happened: ANKR shot up after the San Francisco-based blockchain infrastructure startup announced a partnership with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) last week, to provide fast and reliable blockchain connections for Web3 projects so that developers can focus on scaling their applications. 

The price of Ankr skyrocketed to $0.047 on Feb.21 after the company unveiled its partnership with the tech giant. At the time of writing, ANKR was trading at $0.044.

The second on the list is the ssv. network token (CRYPTO: SSV), up 27.15% in a week after the startup said that it is conducting a hackathon at ETH Denver.

Bitcoin Layer-2 token Stacks (CRYPTO: STX) rose 18.44% and was third on the list because of its relationship with the much-hyped ordinals.

The fourth on the list is the Gate Token (CRYPTO: GT) up 15.29%. The rally in price can be attributed to the Gate.io crypto exchange, which became the latest to apply for a license in Hong Kong. The firm joins Huobi Global, OKX, and Bitget, seeking approval in the regime due to crypto-friendly policies.

Last on the list is the Shiba Inu (CRYPTO: SHIB) ecosystem token Bone Shibaswap (CRYPTO: BONE) was up 13.92% on the news of the much anticipated layer-2 Shibarium being launched next week.
