Bitcoin Tops $18,000 Following Inflation Data; Avalanche, NEAR Protocol Among Top Gainers
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) traded higher this morning following the release of US inflation data, with the cryptocurrency prices trading past the $18,000 level on Thursday.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), also traded higher, trading close to the key $1,400 mark on Thursday.
Avalanche (CRYPTO: AVAX) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while ApeCoin (CRYPTO: APE) turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $885.00 billion, recording a 24-hour gain of 3.5%. BTC was trading higher by 3.9% at $18,092, while ETH rose by around 3.8% to $1,384 on Thursday.
