Bunny tokens are soaring in the wake of the Chinese New Year. 2023 in the Gregorian calendar is designated as the Year of the Rabbit.
What Happened: The rabbit is the fourth animal of the Chinese Zodiac, symbolizing grace, beauty, mercy and bringing good luck. Rabbits are deeply linked to the Moon, because of the mythical Jade Rabbit that is said to live on its surface.

The Bunny family of tokens is ringing in the Chinese New Year. Rocket Bunny (CRYPTO: BUNNY) rose 6.85% in the past seven days, Bunny 2 (CRYPTO: BUNNY2) climbed 3% and Bunny Rocket (CRYPTO: BUNNYROCKET) skyrocketed 47%.
Data from LunarCrush shows that social engagement for Rocket Bunny token was up 85% since last week and social mentions increased by 130%.
The rally comes as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has historically performed well at the start of the Lunar New Year.
Meanwhile, Rabbit tokens such as Rabbit (CRYPTO: RABBIT) were down by 51%, Baby Rabbit (CRYPTO: BABYRABBIT) by 34% and Moon Rabbit (CRYPTO: AAA2) by 3%.
This comes as Bitcoin was up 7.52%. Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) gained 3.92% and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) rose 4.19% in the last seven days, according to CoinMarketCap.
