Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), also traded lower, falling below the key $1,600 mark on Thursday.

Kava (CRYPTO: KAVA) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Gala (CRYPTO: GALA) turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $966.37 billion, recording a 24-hour decline of 3%. BTC was trading lower by 2.9% at $20,788, while ETH fell by around 4.3% to $1,524 on Thursday.
