MetaLantis and Cudo Compute re-invent fan engagement in the metaverse

As the world's biggest football tournament kicks off in Qatar, MetaLantis aims to transform fan engagement through Web3 technologies, making it a perfect partner to be powered by Cudo Compute’s global infrastructure in 2023.

Why it matters

MetaLantis has created the official virtual stadium of the Argentinian national football team which aims to be the home of the most engaged and innovative fan community. Cudo Compute will provide the backend infrastructure for scaling this to millions of fans globally in 2023.

While Argentina is one of the leading lights in international football with 2 previous tournament wins and 3 runners up positions, the national team doesn't have a stadium. The groundbreaking partnership between MetaLantis and AFA has addressed this with the launch of an official virtual stadium, accessible by all fans via an app.

Following the October launch of Cudos’ scalable cloud network, Cudo Compute, the sustainable and democratic alternative to the centralised cloud, is constantly monitoring new applications that could benefit from the lower cost, proximity benefits and reduced IT waste that constitute the key benefits of their decentralised network. One such application is MetaLantis.

In the MetaLantis metaverse, fans can create a community in an immersive environment, where through customisable avatars, they form friendships, share knowledge and exchange opinions, compete in skills and mental challenges and win exclusive awards.

VIP passes called MetaSeat, using NFT technology, are available for purchase and provides fans with exclusive benefits in the stadium:

  • Belong to the most exclusive Argentina fans community
  • Socialise, play games and experience exclusive content, rewards and events
  • Fans can proudly put their name on a seat inside the national stadium to become a part of Argentinian football history!

The virtual stadium is a world’s first and MetaLantis has plans to develop it from an app to a full VR experience which would require the computing power and performance of Cudo Compute’s distributed cloud computing network.

“During such an exciting time for world football, our AFA virtual stadium allows us to offer fans the most unique and engaging digital experience. As Web3-enabled fan engagement grows, we need a robust and scalable infrastructure partner. Cudo Compute not only meets our requirements but also aims to accomplish this sustainably,” commented Maggie Fang, CEO of MetaLantis.

“We’re excited to partner with MetaLantis and power such unique Web3 and virtual fan engagement experiences in 2023 as their ecosystem expands. Moreover, our globally-distributed cloud platform would greatly enhance the user experience for engaging and meaningful virtual activities. Besides, as a firm believer that Messi is the best player in the world, the football fan in me is thrilled to work on a project with AFA’s involvement,” said Pete Hill, VP Corporate Development at Cudos.
