Nine Chronicles M Launch: A New Venture By Planetarium Labs In Web3 Gaming
On Nov. 22, 2023, Planetarium Labs is set to introduce the mobile version of Nine Chronicles, labeled Nine Chronicles M, broadening the scope of Web3 gaming. This move aims to transfer the features from the original PC version to a mobile platform, allowing ease of access for a global gaming community.
Mobile Gaming Potential
The shift towards mobile taps into a substantial market, with Statista reporting over 1.7 billion mobile-first gamers out of 3 billion gamers globally. Nine Chronicles M not only aims to provide a gaming platform but also hopes to act as a vehicle for Web3 adoption, extending the advantages of blockchain technology to a wider audience.

Accessibility To Web3
JC Kim, CEO of Planetarium Labs, highlighted the intent to provide quality gaming experiences to a large user base. The mobile version is a step towards making the game accessible on an “anywhere, anytime” basis, including to those unfamiliar with crypto. It will be available on Google Play and Apple Store, supporting in-app purchases, making a stride towards introducing Web3 gaming in a user-friendly manner.
Funding and Industry Support
The development of Nine Chronicles M was propelled by a $32 million Series A funding round in 2022, led by Animoca Brands. The funding signifies industry support and a collective belief in the potential of the project to drive further adoption of Web3 technologies through gaming.

Pre-Registration Event
In the run-up to the launch, a three-week pre-registration event is organized where players can partake in daily gacha games with a chance to win items including 10,000 NCG, the in-game currency, which had a value of around $700 during the pre-registration period.
